Shades of Benga Online is a web series highlighting the story of Kenya’s popular music between 1946 and 2016. It is Kenya’s popular music traces its origins to the end of the second world war.
It’s based on the book Shades of Benga featuring over 400 photographs published in 2017. Follow the story as it unfolds every two weeks.
The first episode premieres this Wednesday.
