“What draws us to our kind? What is our frame of mind when we engage with our Kin beyond the skin?

“How then do we navigate the innate need to seek and observe an image of our kind, frozen, or moving in a frame?

“Is it the image that evokes thoughts, memories, emotions, and feelings in us? Or are we responsible for these reactions by virtue of seeking to observe?

“Is the image speaking to us or are we provoking the image into a silent dialogue with us? As we think, can we draw parallels between the movement of our thoughts and the frozen image of a moving body?

“What causes the shift between thoughts and emotions when we observe a moving body isolated in a frame?

“FRAMES OF KIN, a photographic and video exhibition, investigates what lies beyond the image of a dancing body captured in a frame. It offers us a safe space to engage and have a dialogue with an extension of ourselves in relation to the other.”
